2. Drive your car like normal. If you accelerate differently than normal, your “typical” calculated gas mileage will be different than what you record.
3. Refill your tank and record your mileage. If you wait longer to refill, your calculation will have more accuracy because you’ve got a longer driving history.
4. The easiest way to do this is to divide the number of miles traveled by the number of gallons taken to refill the vehicle.
5. If you forget to check how many gallons you filled up your car, you can estimate your Bemidji Nissan gas mileage by checking when you refilled (½, ¼, etc.) and divide your total tank capacity based on the number of gallons refilled. After that, divide the miles driven by the approximation. This won’t be as accurate because the gas gauge isn’t perfectly accurate.
